b1oke is delighted to announce that Leicester Tigers legend and all round top bloke Harry Ellis has joined our Advisory Board.
Harry Ellis who played scrum half for Leicester Tigers making 173 appearances between 2001 and 2020 becoming a fan favourite due to his tough and uncompromising style. Harry is a Leicester boy starting his career in the South Leicester under 6’s and now coaching and occasionally playing at Oadby Wyggs. He went on to earn 27 England caps and 1 British and Irish Lions cap.
Harry retired in 2010 due to a persistent knee injury and now works at his former school, Leicester Grammar School, teaching PE to A-Level and GCSE students, and contributing to the coaching of its 1st XV and other sporting teams.
Since retiring Harry has had some struggles with his own mental health and bravely spoke to the press about his struggles in 2019.
Harry brings personal experience to the advisory board but will play a vital role in helping b1oke educate other men that it is ok to admit we need help.
Harry is now the second best player in his family – his son Teddy is by far the best Ellis!
