Brendan Neiland is an English artist best known for his paintings of reflections in modern city building). His work is widely exhibited in major museums and galleries worldwide including, in Britain, the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Tate Gallery London, The Collections of the British Council and the Arts Council of Great Britain. He is represented by the Redfern Gallery.
Over a long and successful career spanning five decades, he has produced many private and public commissions around the world, including for Rolls-Royce, English Heritage, Gatwick Express and the National Bank of Dubai. Elected by the Royal Academy in 1992, he served as Keeper of the Schools from 1998 to 2004. His work is held in all of the major UK public collections as well as around the world.
Brendan is also a council member of the AGBI (Artists General Benevolent Institute). This is a charity that helps artists who are ill and in need and a sadly a great number suffer with depression.
Brendan has long been a mental health advocate in the arts world is brings wealth of experience as a founding member of b1oke’s advisory board.
